French design studio

Every UNA STORIA creation begins in the design studio in Vichy, where inspiration takes shape through sketches, colour research and the development of volumes.

The result of several months of reflection and fine-tuning, each collection is designed to turn an emotion, a memory or a source of inspiration into a piece of jewellery. From the first drawing to the approval of the prototypes, every detail receives particular care to ensure balanced lines, comfort when worn and harmonious colours.

To illustrate this creative work, we invite you to discover the main stages in the making of our Aztec bangle, one of the house's signature collections.

Everything starts with a drawing based on the creative direction set by the design studio.

Once the project is approved, the lines of the jewel are modelled in three dimensions so that the first prototypes can be made. This essential stage allows the volumes, proportions and details to be adjusted before production.

Moulds are then made from the 3D model and used to create a wax model, from which the first version of the jewel is cast in 925 sterling silver.

Making an UNA STORIA bangle brings together several complementary skills over almost a week.

After assembly and soldering, the jewel is rhodium-plated, a precious finish that protects the silver and brings out its shine.

Next comes stone setting. The zirconium oxides are carefully positioned, then set one by one by experienced jewellers to hold them securely and show them off in the best light.

Polishing then reveals the brilliance of the metal and the finesse of the reliefs. Finally, the coloured decorations, a signature of many UNA STORIA collections, are applied by hand with great precision to achieve the intensity and richness of the desired shades.

Every creation undergoes a rigorous quality check before it is placed in its box.
